About PHPP

The goal of this program is to increase the number of quality heat pump installations in Pennsylvania by enhancing existing training programs and supporting workers through July 2028.

Penn Heat Pump Pathways focuses on three areas: training, support, and opportunity. Here’s how it works:

Training

Training providers offer approved heat pump training for both new and existing workers.

New workers take in-depth training and get a job.

Existing workers take shorter training to build new skills and grow their career.

Employers upskill workers or hire new workers through the program.

Support

Workers who qualify can get help paying for training fees, support services, and tools to grow their career.

Opportunity

Through employer partnerships, PHPP will help with job placement, apprenticeships, and career counseling, allowing you to build a long-term career in a growing industry.
